Since 1990 EMSA has been the ambulance service of more than 1.1 million residents in central and northeast Oklahoma. As a public trust authority of the City of Tulsa and City of Oklahoma City, we have a duty to provide the highest quality emergency medical care at the best possible price.

A diverse team of dedicated healthcare providers -- paramedics, emergency medical technicians and specially trained medical dispatchers -- is devoted to meeting emergency medical needs in our service area.

We help patients keep expenses low by offering TotalCare, an EMS subscription option that provides a year's worth of emergency service at an affordable one-time fee.

EMSA uses a sophisticated computerized program for system status management that helps us to strategically position ambulances for optimal response during peak traffic times at specific locations. The system requires constant real-time adjustment of deployment and staffing patterns in order to meet the needs of the communities we serve.

Our state-of-the-art communication centers feature satellite-monitored, computer-aided dispatch systems and are staffed by emergency medical technicians and paramedics trained in assessing calls and helping care for patients in the moments before EMS arrives. In Oklahoma City and Tulsa, our communication centers are certified as Accredited Centers of Excellence by the National Academies of Emergency Dispatch.

In cooperation with air emergency services and police and fire departments, EMSA utilizes an enhanced 911 system so that callers receive the help they need as quickly as possible.
