Mike is the new Director of Clinical Services for Paramedics Plus in Alameda County, California. He leads a team of individuals responsible for educating employees, healthcare providers, and the general public in pre-hospital emergency medicine as well as monitoring the quality of the EMTs and Paramedics that provide care to the residents of Alameda County. Programs that are conducted in Clinical Services includes New Hire Academies, various American Heart Association certification courses, Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support, Field Training of new employees, Precepting of EMT and Paramedic students, and continuing pre-hospital education class.


Mike holds a Master’s of Science Degree in Education and a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He has been a California licensed paramedic for 20 years and is a Nationally Certified EMS Educator. He is an active member of the National Association of EMS Educators where he has served as Program Chairperson for its annual symposium as well on sitting on its Board of Directors. Also, Mike is a member of the National Association of EMTs. Currently, he is involved in educating other EMS Educators throughout the country. He has been teaching in the classroom for 30 years and has held positions in EMS education ranging from a skills instructor to lead instructor to program director.
