Sunstar Paramedics is the exclusive provider of paramedic ambulance service in Pinellas County. Serving the 945,000 residents of Florida’s most densely populated county, we provide the 280-square-mile area with prompt and efficient service 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Sunstar Paramedics offers affordable membership plans that cover out-of-pocket expenses and medically necessary ambulance transports in Pinellas County. Sunstar FirstCare Ambulance Membership Plans start at $45 for a single and $70 for a family.
Sophisticated communication
One of only 88 dispatch centers in the world named as an Accredited Center of Excellence by the National Academies of Emergency Medical Dispatch, the Sunstar Emergency Communication Center is recognized as one of the best dispatch centers in the world. We utilize advanced computer-aided dispatch systems, GPS technology and system status management to cover all of Pinellas County quickly and effectively.
Our experienced staff of paramedics and emergency medical technicians/dispatchers oversees the operations of 65 paramedic ambulances and processes more than 500 calls per day. We also provide callers with helpful instructions that allow patients to receive a higher level of care before help arrives.
